Jack Dorsey, the owner of Twitter, has said he will consider relocating to Africa for three months – The tech giant said this as he rounded off his recent visit to the African continent where he met with entrepreneurs – During his recent visit, he was in countries like Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa and Ethiopia.
Jack Dorsey, the CEO of Twitter and a mobile payment company called Square, has hinted that he could live between three and six months in Africa come 2020. The 43-year-old tech executive was in different parts of the continent like Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Ethiopia in November, meeting with entrepreneurs and people leveraging on the use of technology for great change. After he left the continent, he tweeted how sad it is to leave, adding that Africa will define the future, especially as regard Bitcoin, a popular digital currency.
Africa is an important market for business opportunities and development. These opportunities remain underutilized due to several factors, including, but not limited to, the limited knowledge of investors and entrepreneurs about business opportunities, the business climate, few opportunities for exchange between economic operators, limited marketing distributes unreliable information on the comparative advantages that would sway entrepreneurs and investors to pursue these opportunities.
